Why shop second-hand?
Shopping sustainably offers a ton of advantages as it lessens the negative impact on the environment. Fast fashion produces a lot of waste and pollution since it can be quite inexpensive and disposable. We can reduce our carbon footprint and preserve natural resources by choosing sustainable fashion, which emphasizes ethical sourcing, fair labor practices, and ecologically friendly production processes.

Now... let's hop into the current trends:
Back to the 70s: Denim Maxi Skirt
A great approach to add traditional style is by expanding your collection of denim maxi skirts! Utilize a vintage denim maxi skirt's ageless appeal for a stylish and easygoing summer appearance. Consider wearing it with a tank top in a vivid color, a light, laced top, or a basic white and black top for simplicity. Remember to accessorize! Currently, chunky belts are quite fashionable, and a maxi skirt is ideal for layering body accessories. Add a pair of relaxed platform sandals or sneakers to finish the look, and accessorize with retro-inspired sunglasses. This effortlessly trendy outfit of vintage denim and season-appropriate items will keep you cool and in style all year long!

Styling Statement Pieces
Ah, my favorite! Throughout all fashion eras, statement pieces have always been dressed differently based on the current trend. Gen Z has recently been drawn to unconventional, mesh-based shirts that feature bold patterns and colors. Typically mid-length, neither too cropped nor too long, and worn with a skirt, low-rise jeans, or a pair of linen trousers! For instance, this shirt I discovered on Depop is rather expensive. However, many vintage shops and markets, such Lucky Stars Market in North Park and Flashbacks in Hillcrest, offer incredible finds for these detailed tops.

So we've all seen the trend of linen pants, scrubs, or just flowy, lightweight, comfy pants on Tiktok right?? Well, these are honestly a STAPLE to have. Need something comfortable to throw on for errands? Something cute and flowly for the beach? Or perhaps just because! Embrace the "cottagecore" look by teaming your linen trousers with a flowing shirt, woven sandals, and a straw hat for a sweet and fanciful ensemble. For a bit of unique flair, explore with exciting accessories like stacked necklaces or bold earrings.

A Taste of Victorian 90's: Cottagecore Vest
A cottagecore vest may simply make an understated look more daring! The vest's design, hues, stitching, and texture improve an ensemble. For me, it pairs best with a white top beneath, like a cropped t-shirt, low-rise baggy trousers, and a pair of Doctor Martens loafers. By wearing the vest over a lightweight, flowing sundress in a pastel color or with a delicate floral design, you can embrace the alluring beauty of the countryside. To complement the vintage look, add delicate accessories like a small necklace or flowery hair clips. You'll be prepared to experience the season's bucolic splendor in the most entrancing way with the antique cottagecore vest look!

ReplyDeleteI loved your post! Sustainable fashion is very important to the environment. I need to start shopping more sustainably. I like how you added some current trends that still represent your style and personality. I like your style, but I have a different style and would have talked about different trends. With you showing pieces that you would wear, it shows the audience your style and personality. I did a fashion blog as well. In mine, you can see my personality and what my fashion taste is and that is important because it builds credibility. Great job on your post and I can’t wait to read more!
